As usual its been forever since I've written in this and I'm still too lazy to write very much but I figured I'd put up some pictures of me and nikki so everyone can see how awesome we were

Jumping in-- the water is pretty cold but it feels great in the summer

This is Eagle Falls, the river we went to out on hwy 2

this is when we took our friend Jessie there one time

Another place we liked to go is Wallace Falls, its a little bit before eagle falls on hwy 2. there is a 4 mile hike up that takes you past the lower middle and upper falls there is a 10 mile round trip hike that takes you up to Wallace lake and down past the falls. We fished at the lake but catch anything.. supposedly there's golden trout there though.

The middle falls

We took claire up to the middle falls one day
I think this a view from the trail

Anyways I can't really get the pictures and text to line up right so maybe i'll get around to fixing it before people actually read it.. but probably not

First phone post :)

The woes of a poor college student...

So I just enabled posting from my phone! So now it'll be easy to get updates from me all the time.

I'm so poor, you guys. But I had a job interview at a laundromat yesterday and I think that went pretty well so hopefully i'll get hired. That would be freaking awesome actually. Claire and I found an apartment for next year, its in the same building that some of our friends live in so we know its nice and everything and its really cheap and it even has 1.5 bathrooms. I know, I'm really excited about it too. We're going in to look at one of the units on friday at 2 and then hopefully we'll sign a lease and everything next weekish.. But even though it was really stressful finding it and having to call hella people, it was fun and I actually learned some stuff. These one guys we know tried to rent this really really nice house on Chuckanut drive, its this really expensive road that runs along the water, and then they got all offended because the people didn't want to rent their house to a bunch of college guys. It was funny
Other than that my classes are going well, I had a mythology test today and I got an A on a spanish test last week. but really my classes are pretty easy this quarter, there's a lot of reading for my english class but its an American Literature class so its a little interesting.

Another beautiful day in Bellingham

Wheat Thins came out with a new kind of cracker, its white cheddar something and its really good. They had a Wisconsin colby too that looked pretty bomb too.
I started this last night but now I'm about to be late for spanish so I'll have to finish this later so I can be on time to meet with my foxy partner

Almost spring break!

I have a problem...there isn't enough room on my computer. For anything. but I don't really know how to fix it cause I don't want to delete things that I like and I already tried the cleanup wizard. and both my C and D drives or whatever are full...this sucks.
Anyways, Finals and spring break are just around the corner, this year is going by so fast! Wanna hear some funny jokes?
Jokes of the Week
• A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel hanging from his belt. The bartender asks, "What's that for?" The pirate responds, "Aarrr, its driving me nuts".

• A mushroom walks into a bar and the bartender says "We don't serve your kind here." and the mushroom says - "Why not? I'm a fungi."

• A horse walks into a bar, across the room, up the back wall, across the ceiling, down the front wall and then up to the bar. The bartender gives the horse a beer, he drinks it and leaves. A guy sitting at the bar looks perplexed and asks the bartender "Hey, what's that all about?" The bartender replies, "Don't take it personally, he never says 'Hi' to anyone."

Freaking funny...I know. these are from the potty talks I put up most weeks in the bathroom. Some chick didn't like the first one I put up so now I just pick hella bad ones that I think are hilarious. And they get funnier the more times you hear them.

Nature walks

So it turns out nature walks are freaking cool. We used to go on them all the time when I was younger but other than Yellow Springs I didn't think it was that cool cause I thought it was just rocks and water. But yesterday we went on this walk down to a beach and it was the coolest thing ever. Bellingham is really beautiful but you can't see the water as much as in Edmonds because there are a million trees blocking it so you have to walk through these forest paths to get to it. but its really cool and we saw starfish and clams and sandrocks and a bunch of stuff.
we found this little cave thing that had garbage bags and sticks and branches around it and they were tied all professionally and we climbed up to check it out but then there was a shot gun shell in front of it so we peaced.
Steph and Sarah got sprayed with clam juice cause the tide was really low and we were walking out on the beach

Its warmed up a little now so my fingers have thawed enough for me to type out a blog post.

I have a test in sociology tomorrow, but i think its going to be easy cause its true and false and multiple choice.
I really like the class a lot; Its a criminal justice class and we're only on the first 4 chapters but we're learning about the different kinds of crime and motivation and law and stuff. Its pretty cool.

I decided that i'm actually going to major in just elementary education instead of doing the special ed dual endorsement because I'm really interested in sociology and teaching students that most teachers would label bad kids. There are so many things that even bad behavior can tell you about what a kid is feeling and why he or she is acting a certain way.
And I can't really minor in Spanish like I want to if I do the dual endorsement and I just think I could do more with that. I still have a while to decide I guess..not really though actually. I had to sign up to take this test called the WEST-B test, it stands for like Washington Educators Something Test or something but every teacher has to pass it and then after i do my student teaching I have to take the WEST E...but anyways, it cost like 90 dollars. That sucks.

So I woke up to snow this morning. Its just not cool, cause its been really cold lately and we're all hoping for spring weather to start even though its only january. I can't wait for summer

So Claire and I turned in a ton of job applications yesterday but really only applebees seemed like they might be hiring. We also applied at a bunch of coffee stands and a few places at the mall.

So I locked my keys in my car today. I stopped by fred meyer on my way back to school from work and i just left them sitting there on the seat when I closed the door and so then i had to call the freaking insurance people and get the lock guys to come out and I had to wait like an hour for the guy to get there but he was actually hella nice cause I was supposed to pay him 5 dollars but he didn't even make me.

So its been really hot in our rooms lately and I don't know why but I secretly kind of like it. We have heated floors so they're really hot and we keep having to open the windows but its freezing outside so then it gets cold.
